This course is a great option to explore many clinical scenarios where tissue disruption and scars are an issue, for male and female patients. This can include post partum caesarean, male hernia, endometriosis keyhole surgery, gall bladder or other visceral / GIT surgery, stoma care and so on. It also gives the basics of breast surgery options. This is a highly practical course to explore all the layers of the body wall, its sensitivities, reflexes, healing dynamics and issues relating to emotional dynamics, body image and so forth. Rehab dynamics are touched upon in the emodule, and the course reviews assessment of diastasis and other aspects of abdominal wall weakness / dyssynergia and poor recruitments / synergy. The course also reviews trigger points, cutaneous reflexes, pain science, self-help strategies, biopsychosocial factors and allodynia.
