About the event

For those who are fascinated to dig deeper into traditional osteopathic concepts for movement and spinal function, this is the course for you. There are a huge amount of evidence in the biomechanical literature that supports the 3D and complex patterns of inter-related function, oscillation and movement patterns that were observed empirically by early osteopaths.

Furthermore, the fluidic consequences (CSF, vascular, venous etc) of fluid movement are included, as are the dynamics of discs, their functionality, the need for enthesis consideration, and the innervation of the spinal bones and their vascularity are also discussed. Neural stretch, neural movement and spatial characteristics are explored, alongside membranous and dural dynamics, including updated dynamics of how CSF flows and how this relates to neural health and function.

The course will also discuss the complexity of neural efferent and efferent pathways, critically appraises the concept of the 'osteopathic lesion, its origins, and how the…
